With American franchises slowly exploring the Vancouver market, many local fast-food eaters have their fingers crossed for a Jack In The Box restaurant in the 604.

The American based fast-food chain mixes burgers with tacos in its menu and often finds itself in the same conversation as McDonald’s and ranks high among the fast-food ranks.
However, due to many external and internal logistics, Jack In The Box has put off expanding to Vancouver and shows no indication of doing so anytime soon. According to multiple sources online, one of the company’s biggest hesitations to expand into B.C. is that they don’t feel confident their franchise will succeed in the market.
A clear solution would be to test the market, and what better way then sending the Jack In The Box food truck to Vancouver this summer?
The burger chain introduced its food truck in the summer of 2013 to promote their brand and hand out free burgers, gifts, and coupons in American cities the company was planning future expansions. In a sense, the truck helped the company “test the waters” in new markets and get a feel for their potential.
It’s important to note that In-N-Out, another highly popular American burger chain, has explored the Vancouver market with a food truck. While the company is expanding at a slow pace, they still manage to send a food truck to Langley once a year. Last year alone, locals from all over the 604 waited up to three hours in line to get their hands on In-N-Out burgers and fries.
While Jack In The Box’s forecast on expanding to Vancouver may be a hit or miss, we’ll never know until they give it a try. It would also be nice to have a cheap alternative to McDonads. In the meantime, we’ll continue to indulge at 1 of these 8 best burger restaurants in Vancouver.
