Oh deer.. It was an interesting morning for Vancouverites today who came across a deer running around Granville St. and later making its way to Yaletown.
Both Vancouver Police and the BC Conservation were notified, and advised bystanders to steer clear of the deer and wait for it to make its way out of the downtown area.
While it remains a mystery on where the animal came from, it is common for deer to swim across the Burrard Inlet from the North Shore to Stanley Park which connects directly to downtown Vancouver.
According to Jean Kavanagh, spokesperson for Metro Vancouver, there was a report of a deer swimming in the waters off Stanley Park yesterday.
The deer running through downtown Vancouver is almost as random as the deer that was spotted running through Lougheed mall’s parking lot.
