More snow is in the forecast for Metro Vancouver. A Winter storm warning was issued for Vancouver and surrounding areas as an intense Pacific warm front will arrive later this afternoon.

Snow will begin to fall this afternoon and will become heavier in the evening.
It is expected that there will be about 10cms around Metro Vancouver, and 15cms over Howe Sound. Areas between Squamish and Whistler are expected to see 40 to 60cms.

Blowing snow can reduce visibility in select areas.
There’s also a risk of about 20mm of freezing rain tonight, which is expected to continue through the night and all day Thursday.
Strong winds will continue over southern sections of Howe Sound, at approximately 70kms per hour.
Keep an eye on road conditions before heading out, or better yet, stay home!
