Ryan Kesler Signs $41.25M Extension With Anaheim

Last year the polarizing Ryan Kesler went from the ‘Nucks to the Ducks. This year he made an impact in their playoffs and has just been signed to a six-year extension worth a reported $41.25 million ($6.875M AAV).

The Ducks and their fans are enjoying the news of six more years with Kesler as they are trending the #KesBoss

The Anaheim Ducks traded for Kesler and a third round pick (2015) from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Nick Bonino, Luca Sbisa, and a first and third round pick (2014). Kesler was drafted to the Canucks in the first round (23rd overall) in the 2003 NHL Draft.

His last six-year deal was signed in 2010 for $30 million.

Kevin Bieksa, a longtime and close friend of Kesler was also traded to Anaheim by the Canucks earlier this summer.
