Collisions are fairly commonplace in Richmond. In fact, RCMP counted a whopping 22 of them in 24 hours during the snowfall in February.
And, while certain incidents occur frequently, some crashes are a bit more noteworthy.
A recent crash at the Thai House Restaurant is certainly more rare. A picture conveys how the driver completely drove into the establishment; the windows in the front were completely smashed from the impact.
Exact details of the incident are unknown, but the vehicle is a Porsche.

Richmond Driver Crashes into Restaurant
In order to try and combat collisions, the Government of British Columbia instated higher fines for distracted driving. Specifically, a driver caught twice in a three year period will receive up to $2,000 in fines as well as points.
This isn’t the first time a driver has acted erratically in Richmond. Indeed, there have actually been other drivers that have driven into storefronts. Also, Richmond Centre, among many other areas in the lower mainland has a growing reputation for frustrating parking experiences.
