Nickelodeon Reveals The Splat; A New Channel Dedicated To 90s Cartoons

For those who grew up in the 90’s, you know there was nothing that quite compared to tuning into Nickelodeon cartoons after a long hard day of elementary school. Fortunately, Tommy and Chuckie are coming back to television and they’re bringing all your favorite Nickelodeon characters with them.

During an interview earlier this month, Nickelodeon’s president of content and development, Russell Hicks, shared that the network was planning “to bring back ideas, shows that were loved, in a fresh new way. We are getting ready to bring back some of the ones they’ve told us multiple times they want to have brought back.”

Through indirect teases and several interviews, Nickelodeon executives have finally revealed that they’re launching a new channel called The Splat. The announcement came in conjunction with the 90s Fest in New York this past weekend.

Though no official dates have been declared, the new channel will dedicated to Nick’s most popular cartoons from the 90’s including Rugrats, Hey Arnold! Doug, The Wild Thornberries, and much more!
