On the hunt for a hike with a haunted past? This may be just the one for you.

According to Hiking Addiction, there’s a haunted house loop in Myra Canyon in the Okanagan. And it’s just a 20 minute drive away from Kelowna.

The trail is believed to be haunted because it leads to to abandoned house. It follows the Lost Lake Trail through Teddy Bear Junction and up to the eerie run-down house.

It’s not recommended to go inside the house, however, because it’s been decaying for years and poses several safety risks, including potentially rotten floor boards.

It’s also on private property, located about 50 meters outside of the park’s boundary, so you’ll have to ask permission from the land owner before visiting.

Right behind the house and across the river, you’ll find an abandoned cabin that is in better condition than the house. It even has a makeshift outhouse.

The entire loop is just under 13 kms round-trip with an elevation of 557 meters. It is considered to be moderately difficult with some steady uphill sections that are followed by a milder descent.
