Earlier this year, Microsoft revealed its plans to expand its existing retail footprint with a new store in British Columbia.
The company has now revealed it will officially open doors to its new Pacific Centre location on Thursday, August 6, 2015 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The store will be located at 701 W Georgia St, Vancouver, and offer 3,443 square feet of retail space and employ up to 30 people.
The new location plans to serve as a one stop shop for the technology needs for the local community including students and small businesses in the area. In addition, Microsoft will award technology grants to deserving community organizations in the area, as well as offer giveaways and grand opening product offers.
The new space marks Microsoft’s third store in British Columbia (Metropolis Mall and Oakridge Centre) and ninth in Canada.
Microsoft stores offer an assortment of best-in-class products, including Windows 8 PCs, Surface devices, Windows Phones, Xbox One, Office, Microsoft Band and more.
