The new martial arts and crime drama Wu Assassins for Netflix is currently filming in Vancouver. Production started in August and is scheduled until mid-November. The show is set in San Francisco’s Chinatown and revolves around a chef who learns he is the last Wu Assassin and destined to sway an ancient triad.

The diverse cast includes actors from all over the world including Canada, England, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Scotland, Romania, America and China. More than 50% of the cast currently credited on IMDb is Asian which parallels to the buzz around the 2018 film Crazy Rich Asians noted for breaking Hollywood barriers with an all-Asian cast.
