Here’s your first look at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in his next big Hollywood action blockbuster Skyscraper which is filming in Vancouver.

The movie star is pictured with the Skyscraper director Rawson Marshall Thurber (DodgeBall, Central Intelligence) and cinematographer Robert Christopher Elswit (There Will Be Blood, Nightcrawler, The Town) on Day 1 of production:

Johnson plays Will Ford, a disabled US war veteran and former FBI Hostage Rescue Team Leader, who now does security for state-of-the-art skyscrapers. He must save his family from a “towering inferno” as they are trapped inside a burning building in China – which also happens to be the world’s tallest skyscraper.

Skyscraper also stars Pablo Shreiber known for his role as “Pornstache” from Netflix’s Orange is the New Black. He is also known for Law and Order: SVU and American Gods. He also happens to be from British Columbia and is the half brother of Hollywood A-lister Liev Shreiber. The movie also stars:

The move started filming in town this August and is scheduled for production in Vancouver until November 17, 2017. A summer release date has been slated for next year on July 13, 2018 – in 3D of course!
