This year, Lights by the Lake is going to be bigger and better than ever. Attendees can expect not only stunning light displays up the esplande along the lake, but also tons of new features.
As for what’s new, you’ll get to see illuminated displays that depict traditional favourite scenes, such as an oversized holiday train, polar bears, an igloo, and even towering candy canes. Additionally, you can check out the Murray Blackham collection, which was originally located in Abbotsford before it moved to Greendale Acres in Chilliwack in 2024. Now, the lights have a permanent home with Tourism Harrison River Valley.
And as always, the festival’s signature show will feature the legendary Sasquatch enjoying outdoor activities.
On the festival, Stephanie Gallamore, Executive Director of Tourism Harrison River Valley, said,
Lights by the Lake is all about bringing people together. The festival was originally created to welcome visitors and residents to celebrate our connection to the natural beauty of our region and the history of the Sasquatch. We are proud to continue to build on that vision with new displays that complement our signature ‘in the wild’ theme, while keeping the experience free and accessible to everyone.
