A new video has surfaced that narrows down the timeline of Marissa Shen’s homicide, the 13-year old girl that was found dead in Burnaby Central Park.
Investigators say that the video suggests that the young girl was most likely murdered in the park where her body was found.

Police are asking the public for any videos or photos taken at the girl’s vigil that was held on July 22nd or from her funeral which was held on July 28th. They say that additional video evidence would help them determine the course of events that led to her murder.

The young girl was last seen on July 18th near Central Boulevard and McKay Avenue just after 7:30 p.m. Prior to this latest video she was last seen leaving her home at 6 p.m.
Authorities have received over 200 tips related to her death and have identified 90 people of interest; however, it is important to note that these people are not suspects in the homicide. The persons of interest have information relevant to the case.
