An enormous Richmond mansion was allegedly the scene of multiple serious crimes over the course of many months.

The government is currently attempting to seize the property from the owner, Wen Feng, the defendant. Her response, filed on August 10th, claims that she wasn’t the real owner of the property.

Her case however argues that her brother, Lap San Peter Pang, is the true owner. She currently resides in Ontario.

With 8 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, the property, located at 8880 Sidaway Road in Richmond, is massive. It is built on agricultural land and was purchased in October of 2015 for $4.4 million.

While Feng claims that the property was bought as an investment, there are multiple accounts on record of criminal activity on the premises. RCMP anticipate charges will be made followed by arrests.

Incidents At The Richmond Mansion

According to the Vancouver Sun, the first recorded incident that the police discovered was an illegal gambling setup. They came to the residence because they received an anonymous tip that a someone was being held hostage on the premises. Once they arrived they also discovered an elaborate surveillance system.

In addition to this call there were many others. There were also people admitted to hospital with serious injurious, such as broken bones and stab wounds. They also discovered money counters and suspect that money laundering was taking place.

The residence does not come across as a place people were living in, but rather the epicentre of some corrupt gang activity. Police records indicate that the residence contained an enormous amount of alcohol and but none of the furnishings for a regular place of residence.

The property is now listed on the market for $6 million.
