Local Actress Sandy Sidhu Lands CBS Pilot ‘Intelligence’

Actress, educator, and a lover of life. Sandy Sidhu is a rising star in the film world with no intentions of slowing down.

Her resume includes features in: Stargate Universe(TV) Shattered(TV) Afternoon Tea(Film) & her latest project: Primeval New World. Coming off a strong year in 2012, she has carried the momentum on through 2013 and booked her first U.S. Pilot for CBS called Intelligence where she plays a character called Amelia Hayes. Cast members also include Josh Holloway.

Intelligence is centered at U.S. Cyber Command and focuses on a unit that has been created around one agent (Holloway) with a very special gift — a microchip has been implanted in his brain that allows him to access the entire electromagnetic spectrum. The pilot is created/executive produced by Michael Seitzman, exec produced by Rene Echevarria and Tripp Vinson and directed/exec produced by David Semel.
Q&A with Sandy about her new role:

 Where did the pilot shoot?

Sandy: The pilot was shot in Vancouver, which is why I was given the opportunity to audition for the show. Very grateful for that!

 How do you feel about your new role?

Sandy: I was very excited about the opportunity to play this character. This role is very different from others roles that I’ve played in the past and I got showcase this other side of me I’ve always want to. Her personality is very complex and she’s takes strength to a new level.

 What did you hope to take/learn from the experience?

Sandy:  Every experience is unique and allows me to grow and develop when I’m on set. When you’re surrounded by such talented actors and crew, you can’t help but learn things along the way. I always go in wanting to soak it all in and enjoy the moment. And I did! I had a blast.
