Langley’s Real Canadian Superstore Uncorks Wine Sales

Superstore Wine

The Real Canadian Superstore situated on 19851 Willowbrook Dr. in Langley has officially uncorked the sale of wine at their store.

The location has become the fourth of six Loblaw locations in British Columbia to do so, and will carry over 400 varieties of B.C. wine. The Real Canadian Superstore in South Surrey also introduced wine to its shelves last fall.

“Our customers come to our stores for a one-stop shopping experience for all of their entertaining and meal preparation needs,” said Greg Ramier, Senior Vice President, Loblaw Companies Limited. “With the introduction of these licences by the B.C. government and through the support of local municipalities, today we can provide them with more convenience and choice with B.C. wine on our shelves.”

In addition, the locations will have a wine expert on site during peak business hours to support customers looking for recommendations and food pairing inspiration.

“British Columbians were very clear in their support for wine and grocery and our government is proud to be moving forward with this program here in Langley and throughout the province,” says Mary Polak, Minister of Environment. “This initiative improves consumer choice and convenience and opens up a new market opportunity for B.C. wineries.”

Wine Sales in Grocery Stores

It’s been over a year since British Columbia’s new liquor laws came into effect, granting a two-part model for liquor sales in grocery stores to promote B.C. products and create jobs.
