Fiji’s International Rugby Team beat South Pacific rival Samoa in a wild final to win the Pacific Nationals Cup on Monday night. Fiji surrendered the lead in the second half but was quick to score back-to-back for the victory. The six-team tournament was held at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby and leads the road to next month’s Rugby World Cup.

Fiji overcame Samoa 39-29 in the final to win the 2015 cup. Tonga beat Canada, USA and then Japan 31-20 for Bronze. The Canadians didn’t do so well losing to the Americans in the 5th-place match. Canada lost all four of its matches.

Fiji’s Prime Minister Bainimarma will be attending the IDC Soccer tournament at Newton Athletic Park in Surrey. The Fijian Soccer League of Greater Vancouver’s premier and masters divisions play the youth championship on August 8th and 9th. You can find the schedule here.
