The Vancouver International Flamenco Festival takes place until Sunday, September 24th, 2017. Not to mention, it proudly presents the local debut of La Moneta at the Vancouver Playhouse on September 23rd. Shows will be held at various venues. Tickets start at being free and go up to $60.
Art | Intangible
The Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art presents Intangible, a dynamic exhibition that will challenge pre-conceived notions of ‘Coast Salish art’. It’s on display until Sunday, December 10th, 2017. Admission starts at $6.
Jobs | Civic Hotel Hiring Fair Surrey 2017

Surrey’s newest landmark Civic Hotel, Autograph Collection and accompanying restaurant, Dominion Bar + Kitchen, will be hosting a hiring fair on Tuesday, September 19th, 2017. They are looking to fill 165 new positions ahead of its opening in November 2017. The boutique 144-room hotel, and accompanying restaurant, are located at the heart of Surrey’s new City Centre.
Singing | Toads Got Talent Lip Sync Battle Round 3
The third instalment of Steel Toad’s Lip Sync Battle competition is ready to begin. Every Tuesday night from September 19th – October 31st, 2017, contestants will get on stage and lip sync some fantastic tunes. This free event runs from 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Kokoro Dance presents the world premiere of the provocative and primal Embryotrophic Cavatina, the company’s latest full-length butoh work 20-years in the making. 19+ party | H.R. MacMillan Space Centre Cosmic Nights 2017

The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre is gearing up to host a 19+ solar system party. Cosmic Nights: Saturnalia takes place on Thursday, September 21st, 2017. You’ll get to discover all the wonders of the universe – over drinks. Equally important, the event celebrates the end of the incredible 20 year Cassini mission to Saturn. Tickets range from $20 – $25.
Dance | Historical Performance Ensemble
The Dance Centre’s popular noon hour series starts a new season. It’s with Historical Performance Ensemble, a presentation of authentically recreated social and theatrical European Baroque dances. Tickets are $14 for adults and $12 for students, seniors, and children.
History | History of South Asian Imperial Citizens

Going beyond the old tropes of colonised histories, Coquitlam is hosting a presentation that will flesh out in detail the Indo-Canadian community’s pioneer experience. It takes place on Thursday, September 21st at City Centre Library. Tickets range from being free to $10.
