A post online named Percy Hayes was the REAL Santa Claus many of us grew up with as children.
He was the Santa Claus for Guildford Town Centre in Surrey and Shaw TV for many years dating back to the 90’s. The post by Shawn Slavin explains that he found out Percy is living in a senior’s care facility in White Rock and his next birthday is fast approaching (July 29th). To help make the day more special, Slavin is asking locals to send Percy Hayes a birthday card.
“If you can spare five minutes over the next couple of days, please send him a birthday card and let him see how many lives he touched. I am sure it would mean so much to him.”
We couldn’t agree more with Slavin, and believe the nice gesture will go a long way for metro Vancouver’s Santa Claus.
