Canucks Rookie Sensation Elias Pettersson Is Going To The NHL All-Star Game

What a year it’s been so far for Vancouver Canucks rookie Elias Pettersson.

On Wednesday afternoon, the National Hockey League announced that the Vancouver Canucks rookie forward will represent Team Pacific Division in the 2019 Honda NHL All-Star Game and Weekend.

Pettersson, 20, becomes the youngest Canucks player and just the third Canucks rookie (Tallon, Boeser) named to the honour.

Impressive Rookie Year

Pettersson leads all rookies in goals (22), assists (20), points (42), power-play goals (6), power-play points (13), game-winning goals (7) and shooting percentage (27.8%).

After the Sedin twins retired at the end of last season, many were wondering what the future of the team would look like.

Fast forward to today and everyone across the city is talking about how Elias Pettersson can possibly one day lead the team to a championship.

The 2019 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend takes place on Friday, January 25th and Saturday, January 26th in San Jose.
