The best places to drink in the city are usually a secret. And this new cocktail bar on West Hastings is no exception.
Cantina 189 is a pop-up bar brought to life by the same minds behind Chupito, another pop-up concept that took over the patio space behind La Taqueria in the summer months.

This new pop-up will be in the same spot, but is designed for all seasons.
Their slogan is “come in, stay a while,” and trust us, when we say you’ll want to do just that from the second you arrive.
The door to the bar is disguised as a walk-in cooler, adding to the fun and secrecy of the spot.
Their menu has a variety of must-sip cocktails, including the following:
La Faena
Cognac, Campari, Sweet Vermouth, Chamomile, Tamarind, Beeswax, Honey Pollen and Neroli
La Opera
Blended Scotch, Absinthe, Damiana, Coconut, Demerara and Soda

La Fuente
