UPDATE: The 46-year-old female has been located, and she is safe and sound.
RCMP are asking for the public’s help to find a woman missing from a Coquitlam psychiatric hospital. 46-year-old Barbara Tom was reported as an ‘unauthorized absence’ from the Brookside Treatment Centre at Riverview grounds on Sunday, June 23, 2019.

According to police, she is unlawfully at large and a Canada-wide warrant has been issued to locate her.
Barbara Tom is described as:
- 46-years-old, First Nations
- Long black hair / brown eyes
- 5’4 and 120lbs
In addition, she was last seen wearing a grey/white hoodie, a white puffy jacket, and dark grey pants.
If you sight her, don’t approach her. Report the sighting immediately to your nearest police by dialling 9-1-1.
