The New Year kicked off to a chilly start, causing parts of Brandywine Falls to become frozen during the first days of 2018.
The Instagram hotspot was covered in ice for several days which resulted in an enchanting setting. Though the cold didn’t freeze the water, it froze everything around it.
A handful of locals were able to catch rare moment and shared their photos on social media:
Frozen in time. When Nature freezes time and blows your mind. To see a waterfall like Brandywine falls in summer roaring like a beast that makes nature step back in fear, to seeing it becoming natures pet in winter and freezing to a hibernating halt. This is one of the many amazing things that happen in nature that continually makes me want to explore this world of our before it is too late. COPYRIGHT: Hey you, yes you, would do me a favour, rather than stealing this photo could you just put the phone down go outside, find a beautiful spot and enjoy it with all your senses. Taste the air, touch the textures, Breathe with your soul and watch the colours dance across the canvas in front of you. Could you do that for little old me? . . . . . . . . . #theimaged#earthfocus#rei1440project#tentree#beautifuldestinations#folkcreative#instagood#moodygrams #optoutside#travelstoke#nrthwst#doyoutravel#socality#nomadstories#visualsofearth#collectivelycreate#exploretocreate#ourplanetdaily#roamtheplanet#artofvisuals#thatPNWlife#natgeo#mountainhardwear#stayandwander#thelensbible#watchthisinstagood#mycanonstory#earthofficial#[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] @ourplanetdaily
By the end of January, Brandywine Falls was back to its usual self, but should temperatures drop again it’ll surely be worth the visit.
