8 Best Things To Do In Harrison BC

If you’re looking for a weekend getaway or even just one night away from the city—Harrison is home to beautiful scenery, healing hot springs, and many picturesque trails that are worth exploring.

Spend the day at the beach

There’s nothing better than catching up on some R&R at the beach. Whether you want to lay on the beach and read, or go for a swim in the lake—the beach is the perfect place to be.

Take a hike

There are plenty of hikes and trails available for beginner and intermediate hikers. A few favourites to check out are: Spirit Trail, Miami Bridges, the Harrison Grind and Bear Mountain.

Check out the water park

The water park in Harrison is unlike any other. Take a lift by boat out to the park which is situated in the lake. It has a number of inflatable “obstacles,” similar to something you would see from the hit TV show Wipeout. Of course there are tons of water slides and platforms you can be catapulted off of and fly into the water.

Besides the water park, there are plenty of activities you can enjoy at Harrison Lake. Rent out a sea-doo, bumper boats, banana tubes, kayaks, motor boats, paddle boards or bring your own.

Go for a bike ride

Explore the area by bike. Rent out a normal bicycle or one that seats two, four, or even eight people.

Relax at the Hot Springs

You can’t go to Harrison without checking out the hot springs. Located in the Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa—the pools are all different temperatures and offer a rejuvenating experience. There’s also a spa in the resort if you want to take your relaxation to the next level. The hot springs are limited to hotel guests only but there is a public pool not far away for others to enjoy the hot springs.

The strip is small but offers some great eateries. Some of the most popular restaurants include Morgan’s Bistro, The Hungry Chef Eatery, Village Pizzeria and the Old Settler Pub. Top it all off with some delicious ice cream and gelato at either Chantilly or Baskin-Robbins. Beach Bites café is a great option for yummy eats that are suitable to eat while lounging at the beach.
