There are a vast number of placing to go camping in British Columbia; however, not many of them compare to the Okanagan’s Barefoot Beach Resort.
For one, this waterfront resort offers the most spellbinding views of the Skaha Lake and the surrounding mountain ranges. What’s more, the water is lined by a soft, sandy beach that is perfect for a plethora of activities.
For accommodations, guests are welcome to stay in the irrigated RV site or in one of the gorgeous glamping yurts. For those who aren’t familiar with the “yurt,” they are funky, circular lodgings that have dome shaped roofs. These dome shaped roofs also act as skylights, allowing plenty of natural daylight to permeate the room.
While they don’t exactly offer Fifth Avenue appeal, the experience will be far from roughing it. Not only do they feature vaulted ceilings and exposed lattice walls, but they have shinning, hardwood floors and french doors. In addition, they include private decks, personal BBQs, flatscreen TVs and manicured paths lead down to the lakeside. They even offer a spacious, in-floor soaker tub!

Barefoot Beach Resort
While it’s nice to relax by the beach, there are plenty of activities to enjoy in the surrounding area. In fact, there’s a beautiful winery right next door, as well as a golf course. In addition, visitors enjoy hiking and biking the famous Kettle Valley Rail trail which runs along the lake.
At the lake guests enjoy swimming, paddleboarding, water skiing and more! And, although there’s plenty of activity at the lake, there’s a canal two blocks away that is perfect for a relaxing float.
