A Wild Black Sabbath x Ozzy Osbourne Night Is Coming to Vancouver’s Hollywood Theatre

Get ready to go off the rails on a crazy train, a thunderous tribute to the Prince of Darkness himself is coming to Vancouver, and it promises to be one hell of a ride.

On August 8, the Hollywood Theatre in Kitsilano will transform into a shrine for all things Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne. From bone-rattling guitar riffs to full-throttle performances and even an air guitar competition (yes, really), this is more than just a concert, it’s a full-on celebration of heavy metal’s most iconic legacy.

Sack Blabbath and Them Bones Take the Stage

Two local rock powerhouses, Sack Blabbath and Them Bones, are set to tear up the stage with a double dose of covers that channel the spirit, grit, and sheer volume of classic Sabbath and solo Ozzy. Expect fan favourites, deep cuts, and headbanging anthems that’ll stir your dark soul and shake the theatre walls.

Whether you’re in it for the iconic doom riffs of “Iron Man” or the blazing chaos of “Crazy Train,” these sets are engineered for maximum volume and pure catharsis.

Come for the Music, Stay for the Mayhem

The night kicks off at 8:00 PM when doors open and the energy begins to buzz. At 9:00 PM, things get wild with an air guitar competition complete with prizes for those brave enough to shred their imaginary strings in front of a live crowd.

At 9:30 PM, the main event begins, Sack Blabbath and Them Bones will blast through back-to-back sets that pay homage to one of rock’s most enduring and theatrical icons. And just when you think the night can’t get any louder, stick around for an Ozzy-themed concert film screening at 11:30 PM to close it all out.

Hosted by DJ Flipout, With Special Guests on the Way

Behind the decks is none other than DJ Flipout, who’ll be spinning classic metal and rock throughout the night to keep the energy roaring. And just to make things even more chaotic (in the best way), special guests are set to join the lineup, though Hollywood Theatre is keeping those names under wraps for now.

A Must for Rock and Metal Fans in Vancouver

Whether you grew up blasting “Paranoid” in your parents’ basement or just discovered Ozzy’s wild world through YouTube rabbit holes, this is your chance to experience it live, loud, gritty, and unapologetically metal.

Costumes, eyeliner, and devil horns encouraged. Just leave your soft indie playlists at home.
