In June 1967, the first McDonald’s location in Canada opened doors in Richmond on No.3 road.
Fast forward to 2017, there are 197 locations across British Columbia. On a national level, over 2.5 million Canadians visit the golden arches across the country every year.
For those who live in Richmond, you’ve likely noticed the No.3 location under renovations for the past few months. The restaurants will finally re-open today and celebrate with a 1967 themed party and offer a flashback deal.

From 11:00 am to 7:00 pm on Friday June 23 2017, McDonald’s on No. 3 will offer $.67 cent hamburgers.
The deal follows a similar campaign several franchises around metro Vancouver offered earlier this month.
In addition, guests will notice staff in original uniforms, and vintage cars parked outside the restaurant. Ronald McDonald will also be on the scene to help give away a variety of prizes.
“Returning the iconic Golden Arches to their original home is a very special moment, and one that we are happy to share with the community, residents and long-time guests,” said Joe Guzzo, McDonald’s Richmond Franchisee.
The Hamburger deal will be limited to 3 per customer.
It’s also important to note McDonald’s Canada has launched Big Mac, McChicken, and Filet-o-Fish sauces in Canadian grocery stores.
