In 1955, golden arches were raised and McDonalds made its restaurant debut with its famous hamburgers. In 1958, McDonald’s sold its 100 millionth hamburger. The fast food restaurant was an instant success and quickly expanded.
Twelve years later, McDonald’s opened its first Canadian location in Richmond, British Columbia on No. 3 Road. The location was also the first McDonald’s restaurant to open doors outside of the United States.
Fast forward to 2014, McDonald’s Canada has over 1,400 restaurant locations and employees over 85,000 Canadians.
