While shows like Legion, Luciferand Shut Eye have all moved production from Vancouver to California for new tax credits, Hollywood North still has a slew of staple, emerging and brand new television shows filming around town. For example, the storybook family-fantasy series Once Upon a Time was renewed for a seventh season by ABC and includes cast departures and new arrivals. On the other hand, one of this year’s hottest new dramas, Riverdale, is expected to kick off its second season production this June.

Pilot Shows
A number of pilot shows shot in Vancouver over the last couple months including ABC’s The Good Doctor which was picked up for a season order. It stars Freddie Highmore who already starred in A&E’s Bate’s Motel which was also filmed locally and came to an end earlier this year. The final season of Bates Motel featured pop star Rihanna in the pivotal Psycho role of Marion Crane. Other Vancouver-shot pilots picked up for order include The Crossing (ABC), Reverie (NBC) and Wisdom of the Crowd (CBS).
