As Canada inches closer to legalizing marijuana, the country’s entrepreneurs are continuing to show off their creativity.
Keurig coffee makers have become a popular household and office item for coffee drinkers, but an Ontario based company believes they can take your coffee making experience to a higher level with one extra ingredient.

CannTrust has revealed new single-serve marijuana pods, dubbed “the CannCup”. Similar to other pods on the market, CannCups’s will offer your choice of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate – all mixed with dried cannabis.
How does it work? Simply select the flavour of your choice and insert the single serve pod into your coffee machine and it will automatically brew up your spiked hot drink.
In an interview with CBC, CEO of CannTrust disclosed that the dried cannabis won’t affect the drink’s taste, and will be sold for $3 to $4 a pod. The CannCups’ are Keurig compatible, and the company hopes to soon sell the pods to medical marijuana users across Canada.
The product is currently waiting for its official license, which may take up to a couple months, in the meantime, you can always pick-up some marijuana infused pizza on Kingsway.
