CSIS Hiring Passport and Visa Officers
Passport and visa officers have a wide range of duties, including administering the Passport and Visa program, coordinating internal and external foreign travel documentation requirements, as well as managing various databases such as travel document registries, among many other responsibilities.
Education Requirements
Applicants are asked to have the following:
- Undergraduate degree and two (2) years of experience in each of the identified criteria, or
- College diploma and four (4) years of experience in each of the identified criteria, or
- An acceptable combination of relevant education, training, and experience may be considered.
Experience
CSIS is looking for applicants that have experience in an array of skills, including:
- Interpreting policies and procedures and providing advice and guidance to employees at all levels;
- Client service delivery;
- Managing projects and issues: organizing, planning, coordinating, prioritizing and drafting written reports and correspondence;
- Multi-tasking, meeting deadlines and handling short turnaround times;
- Establishing and maintaining effective contacts, internally and externally
Applicants also must be bilingual in English and French.
Notably, this position is located in Ottawa, Ontario, with a salary range of $77,427 to $94,177. While you may have to relocate for the job, it could be the start of a brand-new career for you.
