On Thursday, Delta Police were out once again patrolling local streets for dangerous drivers in school zones.

Unfortunately, some drivers are clearly not getting the message.

Cst. Neudorf of the Delta Police Traffic Unit pulled over a driver for going 63 km/h in a 30 km/h school zone.

As a result, the driver was fined $253 for speeding.

According to statistics, an adult struck by a vehicle at 50 km/h has a fatality rate of 50% and 85% if hit by a car going 60 km/h.

Now imagine if a child is it. Stay safe and please slow down.
