There’s no stopping Fauja Singh aka the “Turbaned Tornado”
The 101 year old, who holds the honour of being the world’s oldest marathon runner, will make his way to the first ever Surrey International World Music Marathon festivities next week.
Guinness World Record holder Fauja is a recognized athlete in Canada because he was the first person to complete a marathon at the age of 100 last year in Toronto and is now returning to do it at 101 in Surrey.
Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts and a group of city councillors will also be joining Fauja and the hundreds of others who have registered for the event.
