Vancouver played a perfect defensive game against a dangerous Seattle team who was looking for that crucial away goal.
With the series moving to Seattle now, Vancouver can move on to the next round with a win, or draw, as long as they can score.
In the first half, both sides got an opportunity to feel each other out. No one wanted to make a crucial mistake and instead, played it safe.
However, Whitecaps got a chance in the 30th minute with the ball approaching the goal line, before Román Torres got rid of it.
Reyna and Techera both came off the bench in the second half for Vancouver, giving them one final push. Seattle’s defence stood tall and never let anything materialize for the home team.
A late shoving match capped off the game between the bitter rivals.
The two teams now wait until Thursday, November 2nd to see who will advance to the Western Conference Final. Kickoff in Seattle is slated for 7:30 p.m.
