For an aspiring filmmaker and self-proclaimed adventurer, heading out West to explore Vancouver was the opportunity of a lifetime. It’s an opportunity JR Alli created for himself with the right amounts of motivation and inspiration. As a high school senior he balanced studies with a minimum wage job in order to save up and travel.

Fast forward to Summer ’16 and Alli booked a ticket from Toronto to Vancouver and stayed with a friend – on his bedroom floor for a week. His friend also happens to be a filmmaker and story-teller; Kenny Choi aka Visual Choi.
Each day they explored somewhere different and created ‘Memories of a Lifetime – Vancouver (Explore BC)’. Naturally the young filmmaker documented his adventure as a short film and shared it on YouTube, a platform he uses with clear intent:
“I want to share with you my thoughts on how we as humans need to start living life in the moment. I just want to inspire other people to go out into the world and see what it has to offer, and I hope to achieve this through my Filmmaking.”
