Unique 604 Buildings: The Qube

Cool, different, creative, and unique are just a few words that come to mind when we think about the notorious Qube in Coal Harbour.

Located on West Georgia, the Qube was originally built as the headquarters for Westcoast Transmission Co. in 1969, and was later converted into condominiums in 2006.  The building was built from the top down. The thirteen-story core was built first then steel was hung from cables at the top and the 9 occupied floors were successively built downwards.

The Qube is considered to be one of Vancouver’s most earthquake-resistant structures! Definitely a cool, and safe place to live!
