Say hello to Tsujiri. Not only does the iconic matcha café have plans to open their first BC location in Richmond, but they’ve also got a spot in Burnaby in the works.

Originating in Kyoto, Japan—this popular chain is best known for using green tea leaves from Uji and creating the most delicious drinks and decadent pastries out of it.

One thing is for sure—they know what they’re doing, after having been in business for over 155 years. It’s about time BC gets a taste of what they have to offer.

You can find items like their signature O-Matcha Cappuccino and Chiffon Cake on their menu, as well as a wide variety of shaved ice, brown rice tea, milk floats and soft-serve ice cream.

The joint has four other Canadian joints, including three in Ontario and one in Alberta. But they’re a worldwide phenomenon with locations across the globe—including the UK, Taiwan, Indonesia and Australia, just to name a few.

Their Richmond location is a bit behind, as it was supposed to open back in July. But things are moving along for both the Richmond and now Burnaby locations, so keep your eyes open for them.
