Transport Canada Recall
This recall is for Ford brand vehicles, ranging from a variety of models and years.

“On certain vehicles, the engine block heater could leak coolant. If this happens, the block heater could short circuit when it’s plugged in,” stated Transport Canada. “A short circuit can create the risk of a fire.”
Ford is advising owners to not use the engine block heater until recall repairs have been completed. Owners will be notified by mail and then advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership where the block heater will be replaced.
