More movies and television shows are filmed in Vancouver than anywhere else in our northern nation. As a result, it isn’t hard to spot a celeb dining in a local eatery.
While some stars are harder to locate than others, some are particularly easy to sight in Vancouver. For example, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has literally taken it upon himself to be one of the most available celebrities when he’s in town. Indeed, over the past few months he has taken to Instagram to spread love to the city that positively adores him.
But The Rock isn’t the only charming hunk the city rallied behind this past year. Ryan Reynolds also made headlines with multiple appearances. Likewise, the hometown favourite gave some love to the local community and VPD.
With this mind, these are all places to spot celebs while they are on set, but what a lot of people want to know is: where do the celebs go to dine in Vancouver?
Here are a few spots the stars have been known to grab a bite in Metro Vancouver.
Where to Spot Celebs Dining In Vancouver
Kate Winslet was in Vancouver over the past couple of months and developed a love affair with one of the city’s shops.
The superstar actress is best known for iconic roles in Titanic, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Contagion. As a result, many people want to get the chance to catch a glimpse of the talented woman.
“I pine for Honey’s Doughnuts in Deep Cove,” Winslet said of the popular North Vancouver donuttery.
The actress continues to visit the shop, and the owners are thrilled with her rave reviews.

Big Star Sandwich Co. caught wind that the famous actor would be shooting in New Westminster and fashioned this sign:
Needless to say, Neeson found out about the sign and demanded they hand over the goods! The delighted eatery was happy to oblige and snaped a couple photos with the megastar. In fact, they even named a sandwich after him, “The Neeson.” The savoury meal includes beef, bacon, hickory sticks and spice. Yum!
Cheat days feel very elusive right now, like a hidden treasure I can’t fucking find. With goals though, there’s nothing like discovering that thing in yourself that’s able to prevail through any obstacle, even these vegan…earl grey…luscious…naked…sugary AHHHHHHHHH at @cartemsdonuts. This challenge has been an awakening that there is no excuse, ever, but there’s no need for perfection. Cheat days replenish and tell your body it’s okay. It keeps it from panicking, which usually shuts it down and ends up giving you a worse result. Keep at it, then when that day comes, MURDER THAT FRIGGIN DONUT! #fuckityoucandoanything #cleaneating #cableswole #cablepowered @prevailactivewear @cartemsdonuts
Apparently Kate Winslet isn’t the only famous actor with a taste for doughnuts! Josh Brolin stopped by the popular donuttery, Cartem’s Donuts. The actor, best known for iconic roles in the Goonies and No Country For Old Men, stopped on one of his cheat days for a delectable treat. He noted how, “cheat days replenish and tell your body it’s okay. It keeps it from panicking.”
While he may be using a mild reach to justify his sweet tooth, few can deny that Cartem’s makes a tasty donut.
