August isn’t over yet, but it’s already snowing in some regions of BC.
On Saturday, August 17th, a snowfall warning was issued for Fort Nelson and Muncho Lake Park – Stone Mountain Park.
Fast forward to today and another snowfall warning has been issued for Northern BC, and it’s already starting to come down.
“Further snowfall accumulations of up to 4 cm are expected at higher elevations between Fort Nelson and Watson Lake” reads a statement.
Here’s how people are reacting to the unusual snowfall:

Heavy snowfall warnings in northern BC continue, where 20-30cm could fall! As the snow ends, the sun comes out across the province. Heads up, heavy rain headed towards the north coast later today! #YourMorningWeather #wx pic.twitter.com/VfOACJ0o4M
