There’s no place like home and there’s no place like Rowena’s. The charming Rowena’s Inn On The River has all-new luxury cottages that you will likely never want to check out of.

Nestled in the serene Harrison Mills—the Sandpiper Resort is home to a historic inn, classic cabins and now these bucket-list worthy cottages.

With this new venture, they’ve connected the history of the region to the design. Each cottage has thoughtful little touches to go with its own personal theme.

There are one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom cottages appropriately named: Coho, Heron, Raven, Osprey, Eagle, Kermode and Chinook. If you’re looking to take your four-legged BFF on the adventure with you—be sure to book the pet-friendly Raven cabin.

The stunning interiors of each cabin honour the wildlife that can be found in the area. While they have similar rustic elements as their classic cabins—these ones also have contemporary touches.

Once you step inside, you’ll notice an open-concept space featuring high ceilings and minimalist decor. Glamp in-style with a TV, WiFi, luxurious shower and tub and a sprawling patio.

Soak up the stunning waterfront views all around you as the property overlooks the Harrison River. And you don’t have to go too far to enjoy nature, as there’s lots of trails nearby.

There’s even a restaurant located on-site. Stop by the Clubhouse for breakfast, lunch or dinner—with an amazing selection of eats. Try their Legendary Stuffed Yorkie, with roast beef piled high on yorkshire pudding with mashed potatoes and gravy.

You can’t leave here without dessert though—we recommend the cinnamon nachos. Yes, they’re every bit as good as they sound. They’re made up of fried flour tortilla doused in cinnamon sugar with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and whip cream for good measure.

The resort is also just a 20-minute drive to the bustling little village of Harrison Hot Springs. The quaint town has a plethora of activities to take part in all year long.

Go for a scenic walk around Spirit Trail or rent out a kayak. If you’re visiting in the Fall—book an eagle watching tour through Harrison Eco Tours. They take you out on a jet boat, where you’ll be able to enjoy all the sights and sounds the region has to offer.

During peak eagle season—you can see hundreds of them flocking together in the trees as you float on by.

After all the exploring—you’ll be happy to return to a warm fire inside your cozy cottage and snuggle up in the luxurious bed. Enhance the experience by getting charcuterie or chocolate covered strawberries left in your suite upon arrival.
