Rainfall Warning Issued For Metro Vancouver & Fraser Valley; Up To 25 mm Expected

Vancouver weather forecast

Air Flow from the Philippines has brought a plume to metro Vancouver, prompting a rainfall warning for Wednesday.

Heavy rainfall is expected throughout the day over the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver into this evening.

Vancouver’s North Shore, the Tri-Cities, and eastwards towards Mission can expect 15 to 25 mm. Southern areas of Metro Vancouver and the Western Fraser Valley can expect lesser rainfall amounts.

Furthermore, Environment Canada warns that the heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. As a result, localized flooding can occur in low-lying areas.

It’s encouraged to monitor alerts and updated forecasts throughout the day.
