The University RCMP at UBC is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect allegedly involved in a break and enter in which he brandished what is believed to be a firearm at the victims.
According to a statement, officers were called to the 3400-block of Wesbrook Mall on May 29th at 11:30 a.m. for a break and enter at a private residence.

As the victims arrived at home, they interrupted a suspect who then pointed a firearm at them.
The suspect directed the victims into a bathroom as he made his escape.
This suspect is a described as:
- Middle Eastern/South Asian with a strong accent
- Approximately 50-years-old
- 5’4 with a heavy build and clean shaven
At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a dark-coloured ball cap, dark-coloured zip jacket, unzipped at the time.
