‘One Tree Hill’ Star Chad Michael Murray Joins The Cast of ‘Riverdale’

One Tree Hill star Chad Michael Murray returns to The CW network for this generation’s teen angst drama Riverdale.

The 37-year-old actor from Buffalo, New York played Lucas Scott in over 130 episodes of OTH between 2003 and 2009. He’s also known for his movie roles in Freaky Friday (2003) with Lindsay Lohan and A Cinderella Story (2004) with Hillary Duff.

Now he’ll be in Vancouver filming his recurring role in Riverdale as Edgar Evernever, the mysterious “cult-ish” leader of the Farm. Riverdale wraps up filming its third season by April 4th and has been renewed for a fourth season.

Murray is no stranger to Vancouver having filmed a Christmas holiday TV movie here last summer. Similarly, his OTH co-star and former wife Sophia Bush was in town last December filming a pilot episode for a spy thriller she is also producing.
