North Vancouver’s Jane Channell Wins Bronze At Skeleton World Cup

Jane Channell, the 27-year-old Canadian skeleton racer based out of Whistler, is bringing home the Bronze medal after competing in an eight-stop World Cup circuit. Channell qualified for the World Cup circuit last month in Whistler during the Canadian skeleton races.

The third place finish in Germany is her first career World Cup medal after placing fourth at last seasons’ world championships. Last season also saw 4 World Cup top-10 finishes for this promising athlete.

While currently living in Calgary, training in Whistler provides use of the fastest skeleton track in the entire world. The head-first sled rider is on the Canadian National Team and hopes to represent Canada at the Olympics.
