The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recently published a recall for no name brand products which may potentially contain “shell fragments.”

no name Chopped Walnuts Recall
The recall concerns no name brand chopped walnuts, which were sold in Alberta, B.C., Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. According to the notice, they are being pulled off the shelves due to possibly containing “shell fragments.”
Notably, the CFIA has not listed if any incidents or injuries were reported in relation to the affected products.
This is a Class II recall, which means “there is a moderate risk that consuming the food may lead to short-term or non-life threatening health problems.” Consumers are asked to “not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products.”
