If you’re a lover of dark aesthetics, moody lighting, and fantastically complex cocktails, then Vancouver’s latest speakeasy is going to be your new go-to bar on the weekends. All you need to do is find it.
Ring, Ring! Cocktails are Calling!
Located on the far left wall of the Lions Pub at the Terminal City Club is a rather interesting red piece of decoration. It’s a vintage British telephone booth, complete with the Queen’s crown perched above the white-light “TELEPHONE” on its front. Just open its door and you’ll be transported into Call Me Back, a hidden cocktail bar.

Call Me Back is artfully designed by Kurtz Design. The aesthetics hit you right when you step in, a wall of retro phones greeting you just as you pass through the telephone booth’s door. The rest of the bar follows suit, coated in midnight black and rose-red.
The aim of the bar was to bring in more customers to the Lions Pub later into the night. Call Me Back is Lions Pub’s version of a quieter, more intimate space. With just 22 seats, this little speakeasy is certainly a closer-knit feel than the louder Lions Pub.
A Cocktail-Lover’s Dream Menu
Call Me Back also features its own exclusive menu that is all about cocktails. Why not try a 1892 Spritz, which twists the classic Aperol Spritz with some Copperpenny vodka and The Woods Spirit’s Arancello? You could also have a Sorry Ernie, for those of you who like rum.

And if you like to be surprised, you should ask for the Dealer’s Choice. The bartender will curate a cocktail just for you. All you have to tell them is your preferences.
Call Me Back opened on April 10th. If you’re looking for a speakeasy that pleases both the eyes and the taste buds, visit the Lions Pub and head for telephone booth.
