You’ve heard of skip the dishes, but what about eat the dishes?

One Metro Vancouver food stand is taking their name Eat The Dishes quite literally—and is encouraging their patrons to eat the dish (or cup or bowl) their food is served on.

But don’t worry, it’s obviously edible. They’re taking plant-based and being green to a whole new level with their healthy dishes served in a sustainable way. Their motto “eat the dishes, save the fishes” sets out to help save the environment, one dish at a time.

They’re best known for their vegan soups, like their Rockin’ Morocco, Smoky Tomato Bisque, Thai Carrot and Lebanese Lentil. The cups that the soup is served in can be made a variety of ways, but a couple of their most-popular are baked garlic bread cups and smoked paprika.

But for something sweet, they make a wicked hot chocolate.

Eat the Dishes is a unique food stand that will be popping up around Metro Vancouver in the coming months. The next time you can try one of their bowls/dishes is at the Kwantlen Street Winter Market this February.

After that, they’ll be showing up at various markets in Metro Vancouver and the Veg Expo in May.
