Kristin Kreuk is best most recognized for her 8 season stint at being Lana Lang in The CW’s Smallville. The widely successful Superman adaptation from the 2000’s laid the foundation and fandom base for current ‘DC Comics universe’ spin-offs like Green Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl – all currently filmed in Vancouver like their predecessor.

Here’s the Vancouverite’s most memorable roles:
7. Laurel Yeung (Edgemont)

The Canadian teen drama that started it all. The CBC series was filmed in Vancouver, ran for 5 seasons and starred other local actors like Grace Park and Jessica Lucas.
6. Chun-Li (Street Fighter: The Legend Chun-Li)

Though it was met with mostly negative reviews and didn’t fare much better at the box office, it’s always cool to see beloved video games adapted into film.
5. Tirzah (Ben Hur)

Kristin Kreuk played the role of Ben Hur’s sister in the epic international co-production which aired as a limited television series event.
4. Catherine Chandler (Beauty & the Beast)

A reimagining of the age-old tale of Beauty & the Beast garnered her back-to-back People’s Choice Award wins for Favourite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress.
3. Naseem Khan (Partition)

The dramatic story was set in 1947, based on the partition of India, filmed partly in Kamloops and earned 3 Leo Award nominations.
2. Fiona (Euro Trip)

Insert cliché road trip movie here. It’s a mix of funny and stupid.
1. Lana Lang (Smallville)
