BC Place was built for Expo ’86 and has gone on to host the 2010 Winter Olympics and 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Special events like the indoor carnival Playdome and monster truck show Monster Jam are also held at BC Place. It is home to the BC Lions, Vancouver Whitecaps FC and annual Canada Sevens (World Rugby Sevens Series). The BC Sports Hall of Fame, which features over 50,000 pieces in its collection, is located at Gate A of the mammoth stadium.

In the realm of concerts, major world tours like AC/DC “Rock or Bust”, Taylor Swift “Red” and “1989”, Paul McCartney “On the Run” and Justin Timberlake & Jay-Z “Legends of the Summer” have utilized the indoor/outdoor concert venue. This year the multi-purpose stadium is the chosen venue for 4 mega Vancouver concerts.
