Future Shop shocked Canadians this past weekend after they shutdown each and every 131 of their stores across the country without notice.
Among the abrupt decision, it was announced that 65 of the closed locations would “rapidly” be converted into Best Buy while the remaining 66 would permanently close doors.
Global BC has published the list that ultimately determines the fate of 9 Future Shop locations in B.C. permanently closing down:
- Abbotsford – West Oaks Mall
- Coquitlam – Coquitlam Centre
- Kelowna – Orchard Plaza
- Langley – Langley Centre
- North Vancouver – 1076 Marine Drive
- Richmond – Lansdowne Centre
- Richmond – 2780 Sweden Way
- Surrey – Central City Shopping Centre
- Vancouver – 1740 West Broadway
The remaining 13 Future Shop stores around B.C. will undergo renovations and convert into Best Buy stores which are slated to re-open on Saturday, April 4.
